Today

Visit

Today the palace is open as a museum-reserve within the UNESCO site 'Walled City of Baku' — one of the capital's most visited monuments.

The palace is easy to include in a walk through Icherisheher — it stands in the very heart of the Old City.

Visit

The museum-reserve

Since 1964 the palace has held museum-reserve status, and in 2000 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as part of Baku's historic centre.

Its halls house exhibits on the history of Shirvan, archaeological finds and objects of palace life.
